I just love this verse so much. Reading it during the first week of the Torah cycle makes me think of G-d’s warning to Kane: sin is crouching at the door, but you can overcome it. Yeshua’s message here is one of profound hope. We don’t have to sin. We don’t have to be separated from G-d. We can draw clear and cleave to Him. We can do it. We need to muster the will to do it. We need to make plans and take steps to achieve that outcome, but it is achievable. That notion just makes me happy.
