The Adversary took him up, showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world, and said to him, “I will give you all this power and glory. It has been handed over to me, and I can give it to whomever I choose. So if you will worship me, it will all be yours.”
Yeshua never denies that the Adversary has the power it claims. He simply asserts his faithfulness to the Father. What does it mean that it is a given that the Adversary has this power and authority? I see no reason why that power would have been stripped away. Should this make believers wary of those who seek and hold power today?
