For we will all die someday; we’ll be like water spilled on the ground that can’t be gathered up again; and God makes no exception for anyone. The king should think of some way to keep the son he banished from being forever an outcast.
Many people have trouble thinking of their eventual death. They don’t want to be reminded about it so they don’t set up a will, get burial insurance or prepare for what will come in any way. Death is a part of life and the threat of it is part of what makes life matter. Our time is precious and we never know when our last day will be, so we should spend each day striving for joy, peace, holiness, gratitude, excitement, love, righteousness and all good things. Remember you will die, so make the most of each day so that when you stand before your Maker you can smile knowing you did your best.
