The king said, “Do you sons of Tz’ruyah and I have anything in common? Let him curse. If The LORD tells him, ‘Curse David,’ who has the right to ask, ‘Why are you doing it?’”
It isn’t important for us to answer every scoff, insult or indignity. Hate and negativity can only last so long. We endure, we can bear injuries and scorn. Those who hate us can change, but not through us turning hatred back on them. We can resist hate and diminish the scorner’s sting by refusing to give it power over us. Trust that when the time is right, The LORD will deliver you and keep moving towards your goal.
