Scriptural Meditation- 2 Kings 14:6

But he did not put the children of the murderers to death, because of what is written in the scroll of the Torah of Moshe, as HaShem ordered when he said, “Fathers are not to be executed for the children, nor are children to be executed for the fathers; every person will be executed for his own sin.”

Thankfully we have the hope of salvation through the work of Messiah to counter-balance this message. Regardless, it is important to note that we are not accountable for the sins of others. Each person has only to repent for their own wrong doing. No matter your family history or who you grew up around you own what you chose to do. We need only ask forgiveness for our own sins and trust that our Heavenly Father will forgive us.
