The fourth Torah Portion of the book of B’midbar/Numbers is Sh’lach L’cha, which means “Send on Your Behalf.” This is the 37th Torah Portion.

This Torah portion features Joshua and Caleb standing up against the 10 spies who slander the Promised Land.
In the Haftarah a humble woman defies her king and betrays her country when she conceals the two spies from Israel because she fears the One True King.
In the Apostolic portion, the Hebrews are warned against disobedience and lack of trust, which lead to their ancestors’ 40 year sojourn in the Wilderness.
2 Corinthians 8:14
at present your abundance can help those in need; so that when you are in need, their abundance can help you — thus there is reciprocity.
On that day the remnant of Isra’el,
those of the house of Ya‘akov who escaped,
will no longer rely
on the man who struck them down,
but will truly rely on HaShem,
the Holy One of Isra’el.

He is there to be a sanctuary. But for both the houses of Isra’el he will be a stone to stumble over, a rock obstructing their way; a trap and a snare for the inhabitants of Yerushalayim.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!
But Achaz answered, “I won’t ask, I won’t test HaShem.”
The third Torah Portion of the book of B’midbar/Numbers is Beha’alotkha, which means “When you set up.” This is the 36th Torah Portion.
