Parashat Tetzaveh opens as G-d instructs Moses to appoint Aaron and his sons as priests. G-d details how to make the priestly clothing, how to sanctify the priests and offer sacrifices during the seven days of inauguration in the Mishkan (Tabernacle), and how to build the golden altar.

In the Haftorah, Ezekiel tells of the restoration of Divine fellowship after Israel repents and rededicates the Temple.

In the Apostolic Writings, the Messiah exhorts his fellow Jews to live radiant lives to glory the Most High.

The eighth portion of the book of Shemot/Exodus is Tetzaveh, which means “You Shall Command.” This is the twentieth Torah Portion.

TORAH: Exodus 27:20–30:10

HAFTORAH: Ezekiel 43:10–27

APOSTOLIC: Matthew 5:13–20
