The third portion of the book of Bamidbar/Numbers is Beha’alotcha, which means “When You Set Up.” This is the thirty-sixth Torah Portion.
Beha’alotcha (“When You Raise”) opens with G-d instructing Moses to inaugurate the Levites for service in the Mishkan (Tabernacle). It also recounts the stories of people who request a second chance to offer the Passover sacrifice, complaints of the Israelites and their punishments, and a disease that affects Miriam.
In the Haftorah, the prophet sees Joshua the High Priest cleansed by an angel and exhorted to stay true to the LORD, that he may be blessed and used for His purposes.
In the Apostolic Writings, the Messiah miraculously feeds thousands with 5 loaves of bread on 2 fish.
