No matter what you do the LORD’s will be done. You can not stop Him. No one can, so why try? Pledge your life to the King of Kings; fear, love, serve and know Him, nothing else matters.
The seventh portion of the book of Bamidbar/Numbers is Balak, which means “Balak/Devastator.” This is the fortieth Torah Portion.
Balak tells the story of the Moabite king Balak, who hires Balaam to curse the Israelites. Balaam’s donkey speaks along the way, and Balaam ends up blessing the Israelites. The portion ends with a story about Israelite men sinning with Moabite women and the stabbing of an Israelite and a Midianite.
In the Haftorah, the prophet chides Israel for their faithlessness, calling to mind how the LORD saved them from Balak.
In the Apostolic Writings, Messiah son of Joseph rides into Jerusalem on a donkey.
